Friday morning we headed out to explore more of Japan, not to return to Tokyo until the final night of our trip. Because we would be doing some hiking, we wanted to pack light for the remainder of the trip. We stuffed enough clothes for 2 days into our small backpacks and sent one roller bag on to our hotel in Kyoto, where we would meet up with it again on Tuesday. We left the remaining roller bags with our Tokyo hotel and headed to Shinjuku station. From there we would ride a train 90 minutes to the Fuji-Hanoke National Park.
