Electronics and Steak

After sleeping in a little (see posts on karaoke and late night crepes), we set out for Akihabara, the home of massive electronics stores and anime dealers.

We used our new subway skills to get to the Yodobashi electronics store: eight floors of the latest electronic gadgetry with some strange, busty, scantily-clad figurines thrown in for good measure. Ten percent of all electronics sold in Japan are sold in Akihabara, and a huge percentage of that must flow through this store.

We enjoyed roaming the store, looking at the games, toys, televisions, and such, however the highlight was the restaurant on the 8th floor. We were escorted to a private room where we were instructed by our friendly host on how to cook small pieces of steak on grills located in the center of our table. Complete with Japanese soup and other accompaniments, everyone agreed this was the best meal we had eaten in two weeks.
